Pati Sands has studied art and art history all her life,
Napa Junior College, Docent training at the Crocker
Art Museum in Sacramento.   A focus in graphics/visual
communications at the Colorado Institute of Art and
Parsons.  And art history and photography at Columbia
University, where she had her first gallery exhibition.
Early in life, she worked in stained glass.
She has also participated in filmmaking, most recently,
Associate Producer of "Planetary, a provocative and breathtaking
wakeup call - a cross continental cinematic journey that explores our
cosmic origins and our future as a species.   A poetic and humbling
reminder that now is the time to shift our perspective.
Her career as a court reporter in NY prompted an irresistible urge to
pick up a camera to capture and share the many stunning views from
law firms all over Manhattan, high above the streets, reflecting on the beauty,
and  documenting beautiful and some not so beautiful changes
over the years with the huge uptick in megascrapers.

"Found the before shot, which had been eluding me,
while culling for fall in the city shots!
Two different times of day and year.
The before the building pic was taken
September, 2013 at 3 pm, the recent,
May 2018 at 10 am.
The journey through light dispersion on the city
has me fascinated!
The largest collection of clear shots is in the fall
time period. " ~ Pati Sands
