Practice Makes Perfect, CEO Karim Abouelnaga and Kreyol Essence’s, Yve-Car Momperousse are among the Cornell Alum Honored for Redefining ‘Sustainable Business’ and ‘Best Practices in Education'!

November 09th 2014, in partnership with Roots of Development and Educate Haiti Now (EHN), HADEM hosted the first of its kindGLOBAL NOW GALA, Award Ceremony & Fundraiser, honoring Global efforts and Humanitarian achievement. This Live Feed event with Haiti took place at The Battery Park By the Water, 17 State Street, New York City. PopImpressKA Journal was one f the media outlets during this fantastic event for a great cause.

This year’s honorees included; Practice Makes Perfect’s CEOKarim Abouelnaga for his continued success in education and global perspective that children, regardless of race or socioeconomic status have an equal potential to compete intellectually in our society; Vermont based CEO, Benjamin Green of The Ediké, Inc. and team for their successful trade skill building program, fashion business based in Port-a-Prince Haiti, and ‘A Beautiful Haiti’ photography movement focused on the power of business and organizing for self-sufficiency; And multifaceted entrepreneur, Kreyol Essence’s CEO, Yve-Car Momperousse for her successful work to tackle the socioeconomic disparities plaguing Haiti through business by developing a global organic hair care line that is based in Haiti, benefitting the country economically and environmentally. HADEM Today, President, Pierre Alexandrefocused his mission for 2014 to engage the next generation of leaders with a Call-to-Action initiative through award recognition in the area of Education Pioneers, Global Humanitarian and Sustainability Business. It was the collaborative work of HADEM’s Executive Director, Jay Vix with Regional Director of EHN, Francisco Ramirez that sparked the recruitment of a steering board and now the establishment of this fundraising gala for under-privileged communities across the world!

The gala began with a Cocktails Reception and live performance followed by award presentation and dinner accompanied by complimentary cocktails; followed by a brief note by surprise Guest CNN Correspondent speaker, Live Feed from Haiti and concluding with entertainment by NFL Network DJ Fritzo!
