"Christmas Cheer" (Visual Montage)
This is a visual montage for "Christmas Cheer", photographed by Ricardo Muñiz and Directed by Ricardo Muñiz and Olga Papkovitch/CEO & Founder of PopImpressKA Journal. Song written and recorded by Ricky Jarman. Music produced by DJ Kodzu.
Rising Pop/R&B sensation, Ricky Jarman, is more than just that nice boy next door with bad boy charm.
With his playfulness, his sensual falsetto, his hip hop dance moves, his broad appeal to a wide audience and his athletic and sexy physique, Ricky Jarman draws tons of "oohs" and "ahs" wherever he performs.
Jarman first broke out in the entertainment industry (in 2006) when he was being sought after both by Lou Pearlman of Transcontinental Records (responsible for signing N’sync, Backstreet boys, and Britney Spears) and Christian Dio of Caliber Records. (Dio has done remixes for Michael Jackson and Mary J. Blige among others) Each person wanting Ricky to have a spot in the mix of their projects they were working on separately. After much self reflection, he decided to work with Dio of Caliber Records in a boy band called UNITED. Through that time he was able to meet and work with people such as Andrea Martin (song writer/voice coach known for work with Whitney Houston and Mariah Cary), and Glenn Douglas Packard. (Packard notably worked as a choreographer for Britney Spear). Even though the boy band project folded and was shelved due to some personal choices of some of the band members, his career continued to rise as he left that stage in his journey to pursue a solo career.
David Linton, former Senior Vice President of R&B Promotions at Capitol Records, says, "Ricky Jarman, if you don't know the name, you will. This young man has been paying his dues and putting down some smooth sounds. His tenacity and penchant for success will pay off. His work ethic reminds me of a young Usher."
Ricky Jarman has been featured in numerous venues, publications, and websites including MTV-U, the 2014 Canadian Music Festival, Vevo, Top 40 Radio, DNA Magazine, the cover of Get Out Magazine, Black Dragon Live, Adelente Magazine, and Carolina Music Festival. In 2013 he won best male R&B artist of the year at the Carolina Music Awards. Ricky also has opened for Grammy nominee, J. Cole and most recently won Best Male Vocalist for the 2014 Odyssey Night Life awards.
