ABOUT PRINCESS FRANE Princess Frane grew up in an artistic environment. She first trained as a dancer in the beautiful Island of la Reunion, her native place and then moved to France in 1994 where she joined Lyon flagship rap band called DNC as a dancer, rap singer and back vocals singer. Signed by EMI, DNC began to tour abroad in big festivals and opened for famous artists.
In 1997,Princess Frane threw herself into gospel music and sang in Paris with MARCEL BOUNGOU, one of the first gospel singers in France. At the same time, she founded her own choral group in Lyon called « PRECIOUS VOICES » which joined LIZ MC COMB’s choir on several concerts. Later she co-founded female soul and rap duet « EBONY SOURCE » which played many concerts and support acts.
By the end of 2008, she joined « the new musical talents team » directed and coached by MARIE LYSE LANGLOIS and performed several times with a repertoire made of international covers. At the same time Marie-Lys Langlois became Princess Frane’s personal voice coach and backed her in her projects.
In 2009, she decided to stand on her own two feet as a singer song writer. She thus called on talented female musicians enriched by their own career and together they worked on and put the finishing touches to Princess Frane’s afro soul songs and played them on stage.The band decided to take a break from the project in 2010 when she was approached by « PLP (Pour Le Plaisir) » producer of House Music and asked for a collaboration. She has therefore recorded a dance/house number with a view to future international promoting. Today our Princess is preparing the last key to the release of his 2015 album .
Princesse Frane DANCER. She has always made a career as a dancer and a singer at the same time. She has started with modern jazz but she subsequently discovered hip hop dance and joined dance company 10 Cordence in 2002 as a professional dancer in creations directed and choreographed by MAX LAURE BOURJOLLY.
In 2004 she toured with dance company KÄFIG’s piece « CORPS ET GRAPHIQUE » where she was asked to take over a dance part.
In 2005, she co-founded dance company TSADDE and created a piece called « uni-vers » including african, hip hop, oriental dance work and Frane singing live on a sound track. For that purpose, New York music designer MARCELINO TOMSON was asked by the company to create the soundtrack which they recorded in New York.
