With summer in full swing, these Forbes Technology Council members haven’ttaken a vacation yet. They’re busy celebrating new product and service launches, multiple awards won by themselves and their companies, and recent acquisitions. Below, we highlight eight members and their big news.
Shefik Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary of Show and Recent Awards

Two years ago, media personality Shefik launched his nationally syndicated radio show, “Shefik presents Invocation.” Since its inception, the terrestrial radio show has won a total of 34 industry awards for its accompanying website, video productions, as well as the radio show itself, and has amassed over half a million enlightened listeners monthly. Most recently, Shefik won a Communicator Award in 2018, bringing his grand total to three Communicator Awards overall.
The Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
Shefik is participating in other record-breaking achievements as well. On July 16, Shefik participated in a television event on the show “Breaking History,” helping to set the world record for the longest bandana chain and honoring the heroism of Welles Remy Crowther, known for saving lives during the September 11 attacks.
