Genevieve is currently a pharmacist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. While pursuing this demanding career, she noticed a void in the fashion industry - practical handbags for professional women. Combining her passion for leather goods and love of design, she made it her mission to solve the problem.

The Laurent & Altieri story begins with founder Genevieve Laurent who fell in love with a handbag when she was a child. The fur and leather details sparked her interest in fashion and she began to collect handbags from a variety of designers, dreaming of having her own collection someday.
