She also does freelance band photography for Rockdivanews.com and other local newspapers. She is also the official photographer and editing assistant for PopImpressKA Journal. In 2008, Chris self-published Animals Can Demonstrate Values Too—a character education book used by teachers as a springboard for discussion alongside school district character education curriculums—using photos taken while on safari in South Africa. In 2009, Chris’ photographs were featured in the documentary Hope Deferred, which was produced by The Brooke Ellison Project and directed by Jimmy Siegel. Hope Deferred received the Humanitarian Award at the International Film Festival in July 2009. Chris Carrion is located in the Crab Meadow section of Northport, New York. She founded Soundview Photography in 2008, when she was focused primarily on family and couple portraits, weddings, landscapes, band and other event photography. Since Chris’s home sits on a small cliff overlooking a private beach and the Long Island Sound, and the house’s northern water-facing walls are mostly windows, she takes many pictures on the beach and indoors with the water and/or sunrise or sunset as a backdrop. Over the years, she developed a strong appreciation for natural lighting and a talent for leveraging its nuances and inviting, warm glow. In 2012, Chris launched Boudoir On The Beach—her personal brand of sexy, sensual, tasteful photos in various settings in her home, private beach house and on her exclusive beach. Her mission is to inspire men and women of any age to uncover and explore the beauty and potential of their own sensuality while in a unique, relaxed environment on a sandy beach or in her private bedroom overlooking the Long Island Sound.

Starting that day, I began cultivating my unique vision for using a camera to interpret the love and natural beauty we often take for granted. From an early age, I knew I was destined to have a lifelong relationship with a camera, and to this day I look forward to meeting new people, traveling to new places and sharing my love of photography."
