Karynne Summars, the author of the contemporary romance thriller entitled Desperate Pursuit in Venice, was born and raised in Berlin, Germany from where she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii when she first came to the United States. She currently lives in New York and Marbella, Spain. Her former career as an international corporate finance professional did not allow her to spend the time to fulfill her dream of writing a novel, but that desire never went away and there is a right time for everything in life, which came a couple of years ago when she decided to leave the finance industry and focus on her creative talents. Already as a child she enjoyed writing inspirational quotes in her friends’ diaries and later on she made up storybooks for colleagues about their lives at the workplace to satisfy her creative side.
