An Enchanting Evening With Russian TV Personality & Performer Oleg Frish

On May 20, 2015, an intercultural release celebration for Oleg Frish’s CD entitled Duets With My American Idols was held at the Russian Consulate in New York and PopImpressKA Journal was invited to the party.
The guest list included well-known recording artists, some of which performed together with Oleg in a highly entertaining live show that evening including Bobby Rydell “Volare” and Gary U.S. Bonds “You’re Nobody Till Somebody Loves You”. The performance garnered a well-deserved standing ovation.
Other songs on the CD, which all invited guests received together with a gift bag, include classic hits such as “On The Sunny Side Of The Street” performed with Tony Orlando, “Hello Dolly” with Lainie Kazan, “Sunny” with B.J. Thomas, “The Way You Look Tonight” with Peggy March and many more. The CD also features solo performances by Oleg.
Oleg Frish is a popular Russian TV / radio host and performer who grew up in the Soviet Union, but eventually immigrated to the U.S. Growing up behind the Iron Curtain had its cultural challenges, however, classic U.S. hits passed through that “curtain” and became Oleg’s favorite and his dream to perform one day. Enter his just released CD, which is proof that dreams come true when you are as passionate and committed about something as Oleg has been.

Another treat was meeting author/poet and President of RUNY web.com Gennady Katsov who presented us with an amazing gift, his published work SPHERE OF WORDS, which he also autographed for us.
The book containing 180 poems, paired with paintings of famous artists, is published in Russian, however, some of them were translated into English on the following website www.slovosfera.com, which is a must-see. See Image below.
